- 2 cups (12 ounce package) chocolate chips, divided in half
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 6 tablespoons (3/4 stick) butter
- 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups (4 oz) Miniature marshmallows
- 1 ½ cups coarsely chopped walnuts or 1 can whole deluxe mixed nuts
Pan: Greased 13X9-inch pan.
Oven: 375′
Time: 8 to 11 minutes
Yield: 2 ½ dozen bars
- Microwave 1 cup morsels in medium, microwave-safe bowl on high power for 1 minute; stir
- Microwave at additional 10 to 20 second intervals; stir until smooth
- Cool to room temperature
- Combine flour and baking powder in small bowl
- Mix in sugar, butter and vanilla in large mixer bowl until crumbly
- Mix in eggs
- Add melted chocolate; beat until smooth
- Gradually mix in flour mixture
- Spread batter into greased 13×9 inch baking pan
- Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 16 to 20 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out still slightly sticky
- Remove from oven
- Sprinkle immediately with marshmallows, nuts and remaining morsels
- Return to over for 2 minutes
- Remove from oven; cool in pan on wire rack
