& Barbecue Sauce for Chicken, Ribs, or Sausages

Bill’s Ribs & Sausages


8 to 10 Country Style Ribs – boneless and 1 1/2′ thick
4 packages of Smoked Sausages – quartered

Grill: Hot
Pan: broiler or large deep dripper
Oven: 200′
Time: 8 hours

  1. Cover each rib and piece of sausage with sauce.
  2. Broil each side for 5 minutes or so.
  3. Turn and baste each side.
  4. Move to pan.
  5. Cover with sauce and bake
  6. Baste ever 15 to 30 minutes until done

Barbecue Sauce

3/4 lb. butter
1/4 cup vinegar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 cup lemon rind – grated
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 cup onion – minced
1/2 cup Lea & Perrin Worcestershire Sauce
1 clove garlic – minced
1 teaspoon sugar
2 cups catsup
1 cup honey
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

  1. Melt butter.
  2. Cook onions until tender.
  3. Add salt and cayenne pepper.
  4. Add remaining ingredients.
  5. Simmer 15 minutes.
  6. Add 2 cups of water, if it is to be used in a slow cooker of some kind.
