- 3/4 to 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoon flour
- 1/2 to 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 6 to 7 cups sliced peeled apples (4 large Granny Smiths)
- 2 tablespoon butter
Pan: 9″ pie plate
Oven: 425
Time: 50 – 60 Minutes
– until crust is browned and apples are tender
- Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.
- Mix lightly through apples (sliced 1/4″ thick).
- Heap in pastry-lined 9″ pie pan.
- Dot with butter.
- Adjust top crust and flute edges.
- Cut vents.
- Bake.
