- 5 lbs Klondike Potatoes (Yellow Potatoes) – Normally the potatoes are scrubbed and ready to bake
- 1 cube butter
- Salt and Pepper
- Large baking pan
- Melt butter on baking pan
- Cut potatoes in half on the widest part of the potato to give maximum contact with the butter on the pan
- Place on baking pan
- Salt and Pepper potatoes
- Bake at 350′ for 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours – don’t over cook them or they will shrivel up. (1 hour will cook them but the crisping of the pan side comes in the next 30 to 45 minutes)
