Breakfast Rolls

  • 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
  • 40 Rhodes Frozen Dinner Rolls
  • 2 packages Regular “Cook and Serve” not instant!! Jell-O Butterscotch or Vanilla pudding (3.5 oz. box)
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons cinnamon

Pan: 2 Bundt pans – generously greased with butter or use Pam

Oven: Can be placed in a cold oven over night to raise

Bake at – 375 ‘
Time: 25 minutes

  1. Melt butter in microwave for one minute in a 4 cup measuring cup
  2. Mix brown sugar, nuts, pudding, and cinnamon in an 8 cup  measuring cup
  3. Put 40 rolls in a large bowl and put the rest back in the freezer
  4. Position butter, sugar mixture, Bundt pans close together
  5. Dip roll in butter and then into the sugar mixture with left hand
  6. Coat the roll in brown sugar mixture with the right hand
  7. Distribute in two pans evenly putting 10 rolls in each pan
  8. Sprinkle a handful of the sugar mixture over bottom layer
  9. Put 10 more rolls in each pan
  10. Pour any leftover butter and brown sugar mixture over the rolls.
  11. Place in cold oven to rise [for 6 hours]
  12. Remove from oven.
  13. Pre-Heat oven to 375′
  14. Bake 30 minutes
  15. Turn out of pan immediately.
  16. Clean pan immediately.

  • Pre-heated oven to 170′ and turned it off
  • Put pan with rolls in oven
  • at one hour reheat the oven to 170° and turned it off again
  • 1 1/2  hours raise time was enough

Original recipe

1/2 cup pecans – chopped

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons cinnamon

  2. Sprinkle most of the pecans in pan.
  3. Arrange frozen rolls in pan with the rest of pecans.
  4. Sprinkle cinnamon over rolls.
  5. Sprinkle pudding over rolls.
  6. Pour butter and brown sugar over rolls.
  7. Set rolls in cold oven overnight.
  8. Remove from oven.
  9. Pre-Heat oven to 375′
  10. Bake 30 minutes
  11. Turn out of pan immediately.
  12. Clean pan immediately
