- 6 large apples, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 ½ cups brown sugar, packed
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- ½ cup butter
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 unbaked 10 inch pastry shell
- Combine brown sugar, butter, cornstarch, milk, and vanilla in a saucepan;
- Cook until slightly thickened stirring constantly.
- Place apples and raisins in 10 inch baked pastry shell.
- Pour cooked mixture over the apples and sprinkle pecans over top.
- Bake for about 1 hour and 350′
