- 2 1/4 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 2 ozs Baker’s baking chocolate (unsweetened)
- 1 1/2 cups butter-flavored Crisco
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 7 eggs
- 1 cup walnuts – chopped
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- Pan: 1/4 rimmed sheet pan – well-greased
- Oven: 350′
- Time: 30 to 35 minutes
- Melt chocolate in metal bowl over hot water
- Cream together sugar, Crisco, vanilla, and then honey in with melted chocolate
- Sift salt, cocoa, and flour together
- Mix well and add walnuts (will be very thick)
- Beat eggs
- Mix in, until all ingredients are just together – don’t over mix
- Bake
- Cool on wire rack 20 minutes
- Trim edge if necessary
- Freeze
- Frost with green-mint frosting
- Freeze
- Frost with chocolate frosting

3 Tablespoons butter and
3 Tablespoons milk [may need more milk]
1 teaspoon mint flavoring
1 teaspoon green food coloring
