Green Beans – Marinated


  • 1 pkg (16 oz) French Green Beans
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • ½ cup almonds, slivered
  1. Place frozen beans in container and cover with water.
  2. Place on stove top and bring to a boil. 
  3. Boil for 3 minutes.
  4. Drain
  5. In a large skillet brown bacon until crisp. 
  6. Remove bacon from skillet and crumble, reserving grease in skillet. 
  7. Add beans, sugar, vinegar and almond to bacon grease.          
  8. Over medium heat, simmer mixture 15 minutes. 
  9. Add crumbled bacon and simmer an additional 5 minutes.
