Fruit Salad


  • 2 cans pineapple tidbits
  • 2 cans mandarin oranges
  • other fresh fruits as desired
  •     Strawberries
  •     Grapes cut in half
  •     Apples go well too
  • 4 Tablespoons cornstarch
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1pt whipping cream
  • 4 bananas or more
  • ½ cup maraschino cherries 
  1. Drain Pineapple—Keep juice from pineapple     
  2. Combine sugar and cornstarch and pineapple juice
  3. Heat mixture to boil stirring continently
  4. Cook until clear and thick
  5. Cool
  6. Whip cream until stiff
  7. Combine whipped cream and cooled pineapple mixture
  8. Fold into fruit mixture.
