Grilled Pineapple

Ingredients - December 13, 2017

  1. 4 fresh pineapples

  2. 4 tablespoons butter

  3. 1/4 to 1/2 cup dark brown sugar

  4. 1/4 to 1/2 cup corn syrup

 

  1. prepare pineapple by cutting off the top and bottom at shoulders

  2. Cut off exterior pineapple

  3. Cut pineapple in quarters through core

  4. Remove the core from each quarter

  5. Slice the remaining part in half

  6. When all of the pineapple is finished move on

  7. in large electric frying pan melt butter and sugar and corn syrup heating at medium

  8. place pineapple in frying pan

  9. Turn the pineapple over to make sure each piece is coated

  10. Let cook in sugar mixture on each side for a minute or two

  11. Turn pineapple over looking for browning on the piece of pineapple

  12. Continue to turn pineapple over until each piece is been turned over five or six times

  13. Place in a 9 x 13 pan and drizzle any remaining sugar mixture on top

  14. Do not crowd the pineapple in the frying pan

  15. Clean out the frying pan and start over until all pineapple pieces have been grilled

  16. When all the pineapple has been grilled place in the pan and cover with foil tightly

  17. Heat in oven at 350 for 45 minutes to an hour before serving
