Potatoes Butter-Baked


  1. 5 lbs Klondike Potatoes (Yellow Potatoes) - Normally the potatoes are scrubbed and ready to bake
  2. 1 cube butter
  3. Salt and Pepper
  4. Large baking pan
  1. Melt butter on baking pan
  2. Cut potatoes in half on the widest part of the potato to give maximum contact with the butter on the pan
  3. Place on baking pan
  4. Salt and Pepper potatoes
  5. Bake at 350' for 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours - don't over cook them or they will shrivel up. (1 hour will cook them but the crisping of the pan side comes in the next 30 to 45 minutes)
