Turkey Dressing


Dry Bread Crumbs (12 oz package
1 lb Sausage (Sage if available)
2 14 oz. cans Chicken Broth
2 cans sliced Water Chestnuts
8 oz sliced Fresh mushrooms
1 large Onion
4 stalks of Celery
Ground Sage (2 Tablespoons)
˝  teaspoon pepper
1 cube Butter

 

  1. Put package of cubed bread in large mixing bowl

  2. Brown sausage on low to medium heat and add to cubed bread

  3. Sauté onion and celery in butter.

  4. Add to mixture

  5. Add water chestnuts and mushrooms.

  6. Stir in Chicken broth with ground sage and pepper until mixture is moist.

  7. Put dressing into a greased dripper pan.

  8. Bake covered at 350’ for 1 ˝

  9. Remove cover and bake  ˝ hour
