Lucille's Beans

2 extra large cans Hunt's Pork and Beans

1/2 cup vinegar

1/2 cup catsup

1/4 cup dried onion

1 20 oz. can Dole Crushed Pineapple

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup molasses

1 tablespoon dried mustard

1-2 lbs. ham - cubed

  1. Combine and heat on stove, in the oven, or in a crock-pot.


Shirl's simplified variation - March 9, 2019

 

1 extra large can - 55 oz - Bushes' original beans

1 20 oz. can Dole Crushed Pineapple

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 1/2 pounds bacon ends cut in small pieces and cooked tell nearly crisp

  1. Fry bacon in a small electric frying pan and drain

  2. Drain beans

  3. Add beans, pineapple, brown sugar

  4. Heat to reduce juices until thick
